I love this grinder! Our old grinder made so much noise and spewed coffee grinds all over the place. This grinder works at a slower speed and doesn’t have the problem of creating static electricity like our old grinder did. While the unit was is the shipping process, I received an email from the seller with use and care instructions which was helpful. I highly recommend this grinder! ?I am a single person, and this feeds my needs as I usually grind enough per week.Great price for this little grinder. Quiet and efficient :)My primary complaint: it comes with a portafilter adapter, but with our portafilter all the way in, dumps grounds down the back. Does not really seem to be a way to fix this. Probably going to try to 3D print our own fix, but as sold, it's super messy and wasteful.In addition: it loses settings if unplugged. To lower grind time from the default of 25 seconds, you have to hold the time button while it counts *up* until it wraps around. And you will need to do this every time it's plugged in.Requires touching and holding for 2-3 seconds to "unlock", then tap to start. Really could have just used another button or a switch for power; the multiplexing on a single button is not a good design.The manual is, predictably, hard to parse and disorganized. It doesn't seem like it was reviewed by a person fluent in English. There is no "assemble the unit for the first time" section that I saw, so best of luck to you if you haven't put together a conical burr grinder before. Otherwise it has the fairly typical counter-clockwise nut that you will need to make sure is tightened with a small wrench. Finger tightened it will loosen over time.The grinder is loud, which is not really unexpected for a grinder, but some folks have mentioned it in their reviews and they are correct.Overall, this is a fine backup grinder if your normal one dies. It's not a good daily grinder, and if that is your intention, keep your expectations reasonable. I expect to throw this in a cabinet in a couple weeks and hopefully never turn it on again.My husband bought this grinder for me and it works well with out Barresta. Now that I have figured out how sensitive it can be I like it!.Can't leave a complete review about it. I received mine. And plugged it in and won't turn on at all, tired it any many different plugs in my house, still wouldn't turn on. It seems like it would be a great coffee grinder if it would actually turn on lol.This is a good grinder for the price. It is definitely not noiseless and is about as audible as every other grinder of this type I've had. The grinding mechanism is two metal blades that do a good job of getting my Trader Joe's organic whole decaf beans to an almost powder like consistency. This does take some effort because as the grinds get smaller they tend to stick to the sides so I have found myself smacking the top to get them to move back down to the blades in order to get a consistent grind. Bonus - the included brush is invaluable for removing powdery grinds from the unit. The clear plastic top makes it easy to see the grind consistency during the process and cleans with an easy water rinse. I like that there is a space on the bottom to wind the chord into, but there is no space to put the plug which sticks out about 2+ inches from the back of the unit. This makes it challenging to store in a crowded cupboard and it can't be put flush against the backsplash which isn't aesthetically pleasing. This is why I gave 4 stars - for this design flaw - someone on the design team could have thought of a way to create a space for the plug to fit into the bottom. I would repurchase if this plug storage was incorporated into the design. Aside from the 'where to put the plug' issue - this grinder gets the job done.I was pretty hesitant with all the reviews BUT after buying it and trying it myself, this works like a dream. I am pulling shots with very thick crema and the coffee taste AMAZING. The price is also a big plus with this. I recommend this to anyone trying to buy a grinder on a budget.
