Like other reviewers here, the supplied drill bit is garbage. Please don't use it without checking its straightness. Mine was at lease .30 out of true so into the garbage it went. I'm glad I read the reviews first. I had to read and re-read the directions but installation is pretty straight forward. I have a Rigid table saw that uses the old Craftsman style 1/8th in thick metal plate. No riving knife and probably impossible to adapt a true riving knife. Great saw for the price otherwise. I've got decades of experience on older saws from before when riving knives were common, but I have a younger friend without a ton of experience who sometimes works in my shop. This helps ease my mind that he will remain unhurt by a nasty kickback. And I find in my older years that I can be a little spacey or absent minded and make mistakes before I realize that I'm doing something bone-headed. How I'd hate to lose my fingers or worse at this stage in my craftsmanship. Any safety improvements are entirely welcome.
