Its well made but does not seem to do much....mite work ok for scissors but mine dont need anything. They are all sharp..I tried it on a small stainless sheath knife with limited results; the angle may have been incorrect for that kind of knife.However, for thin kitchen knives it works quite well. Just a few swipes to tune things up and it's good.I'm sure there are many devices that would render an edge you can shave with, but the sheer speed of use to achieve a good edge and the low cost make this a worthy kitchen tool.Easy to use. Works great.My husband uses this item and he saids it’s fantastic.This knife sharpener really sharpens knifes without damages to the blades. Did a lot of research on knife sharpeners and this is great especially for the price.I found this tenderizer works very well and is sturdy, cleans up well.The box appeared to be used, as if it was opened and closed often. Additionally, the plastic that it was wrapped in, inside the box, we torn and split.Please note this item is very large, it would take up a substantial amount of drawer room. I did not take it out of the plastic, so I cannot comment on any features.This item was returned.Over the years I've acquired numerous knives of various size and composition. This sharpener has renewed them all, even my kitchen scissors.
