I use this device twice a day to crush multiple pills I need to take. The pills I crush are from very small to moderately large, I place all pills in the chamber and every one is crushed to a fine powder for mixing into my food to make them more palletable. Doesn't help eliminate the taste of the medication fully, but it's better than just dumping the pill powder into my mouth and swallowing it with a cup of water, soda, or chocolate milk.Some folks state this doesn't work well with multiple pills, and that it doesn't pulverize them properly, I have had no such issues with mine. It has worked perfectly every time, and I've been using it for almost 2-½ months now.I have had no overheating or electrical issues, but you need to be certain that the cord has been plugged securely in to both the machine, and in the outlet, if loose, this could cause issues, such as the pill crusher not functioning properly, intermittent operation, and possibly even a short that could cause a fire, and the outlet, or pill crusher being damaged.Always be sure both ends of its cord are plugged in securely, they will be very snug and slightly a bit difficult to remove from both the outlet, and the pill crusher.The only issue you may have is getting the pill powder out, it does require using a small cleaning brush to get the powder off some of the plastic areas, like the lid, and scraping the sides of the metal chamber to get all the pill dust out of the unit.I dump the main pill dust into the food I'm going to mix it with, then use the brush to get the remnants into the food, then mix and take my medication. This is the only con that I encountered using the electric pill crusher.Other than that, it works great, and does the job well.Yes, I'd recommend this pill crusher, it works, has been very reliable for my use. And it sure beats crushing pills in a manual pill crusher, which is hard on your hands, especially if you have arthritis, or other medical issues with your hands that make it difficult to use a manual pill crusher.This electric pill crusher saves me a lot of time, the best part is: No pain in my hands, arms, wrists or shoulders using it. Just so much easier to use.
