Modern Black 5x7 Area Rug for Living Room - Soft & Durable - Under $50 - Perfect for Home Decor, Bedroom, Office & Apartment

I purchased this rug for my living room. I look the look and the feel of this rug. I goes so well with my livingroom decor. It is very soft. I usually cannot lay on rugs, but this one, I could lay on it without feeling all itchy. Great investment. Many complained that the edges would not uncurl. I was going to steam mine with my steams, but I didn't have to because a few days later, the rug was fine. The edges were flat and all is good.I like this carpet, but gave three stars because it is very thin and slippery. It moves around a lot on the vinyl floor unless it is weighted by a heavy object like a kitchen table on top of it. It took many days to smooth out the wrinkles it had when I unrolled it, and it gets curled up very quickly even when I roll it up for 30 minutes to clean the floor it sits on. I weight the edges back down to flatten it out, it does smooth out quickly.My concerns with it being so thin are that it can be a trip hazard and in some situations it will probably curl up and cause some people problems. If you have a way to secure it to the floor below or weight it down then this may not be a concern.It also took a couple of weeks for the "new carpet smell" to fully go away.I do find the carpet is very easy to vacuum and keep clean, that is a plus.These rugs are soft on the feet, has a wonderful design. fast shipping and most of all great price. I was looking around at store like Ross, Target, and Wal-Mart. But for the design and texter you can't beat the price. I was afraid to buy it online becaues, I thought it might feel rough and the color might be totally different in person when it was delivery. But I am glad I did, I purchased the 8' × 10' for my living room and 5' x 8' for my dinning area. I was please with them so I purchased the hallway runner one as well. One end of the rugs do curl up but put something heavy on it like books or furniture and mines went uncurl after 24hours. Also there is loud odor from the rugs because they are new. Just open a window for about 2 days and it should clear out the odor.Looks like the picture, but overall ok quality... for the price its great, would I buy it again? Not sure I believe I would rather spend extra 100 and get something a little softer... for now it does the job and it matches my sofa... what I guess bothers me in the rug is that after I change the furniture around (I like doing that) the impressions on the rug staying waaaay longer then my older rug which was a little bit of better quality, other then that like I was saying it's just thin... if you get extra thick ped to put under even that shouldn't bother you.This carpet is a great value....it looks beautiful with the right decor, it is large (yay!) and soft. It is not thick pile so vacuuming is a breeze. HOWEVER, I did have to clean a small area and noticed the “softness” disappeared. The carpet became course/rough and a little less smoother to vacuum. High traffic spots are roughing up a bit too. I did spray a fabric protector on it when I first placed it so I’m not sure if that’s the cause BUT I am still very pleased as the carpet still looks gorgeous.In the last pic, I had laid it out to get it ready to go under the table. The corners were badly curled and there were lots of waves in the rug.That being said, the second pic I moved it over to the dining room and put the chairs on the edges.When the table arrived two weeks later it was finally ok to put the table on. It still has wrinkles but they aren’t noticeable now.It’s definitely softish and appears durable. Just more busy then in the photos. Took time for the corners to lay down and the ones on the inside of the roll still haven’t laid flat even after almost two weeks.
