The adjustment ring at the top is the best I've used, and the results from hand grinding are better than electric grinders of the same price.I own a very well reviewed electric grinder that cost the same as this hand grinder, and this hand grinder produces a more consistent grind and better coffee. If you need to grind a lot of coffee every morning (say in an office or for a family gathering), then perhaps an electric grinder makes sense. But for daily use I only grind manually. This grinder works smoothly and is built like a tank. There is no electric motor to give out, and it is hard to imagine that any of the parts could wear out. Given how easy it is to disassemble, however, even worn parts could be easily replaced.Best purchase. Amazing coffee for pour overs. Quality product and from a Taiwan company. Would purchase from this company again.Nice, solidly engineered, feels great in the hands. High quality coffee grinder. I’ve been using it for various brewing methods, and it does a fantastic job of cranking out coffee with the advantage of micro adjustments to get the perfect size grind for each one of them. The long crank handle makes it easier to get your coffee ground with less effort. The magnetic grounds cup is super convenient (just be careful to hold the device properly). It was an expensive acquisition, but feels so worth it.Outstanding product, quality second to none. This is an exceptionally high end product made with an incredible eye for detail. Grinds from espresso to French press and every thing else in between, with a simple turn of the dial. Over 90 settings is incredible. Very portable for your travels.I love that the coffee ground collection cup magnetically attaches to the bottom of the grinder, makes life very simple.Instructions are the down side and it takes a little figuring out on how to set the zero calibration, will advise you to check online YouTube videos for a better understanding on how this works. Simple method is to set your dial all the way to zero, burrs should be running freely, turn the dial past zero until you can't turn the handle or the burrs start grinding, at the same time counting the amount of click this takes. If its four clicks past zero then turn the big settings dial to about no 5, while pushing the bottom of the burrs up into the grinder, adjust the serrated dial on the inside top section of the grinder where the handle attaches, 4 clicks clockwise. Set your big dial back to zero and check if handle is turning freely and how far past zero is takes for the burrs to grind. Its the same opposite procedure if you dial zero's before the 0 setting. It takes a few tries before you will get it sorted. Mine came two clicks past zero and the best I could get it reset was one click past the zero. After some use I expect that I would need to redo the zero calibration again.Looking forward to many years of use from this incredible grinder. I chose this one over the Pro due to the magnetic collection cup and the better ergonomics for holding the grinder and also because its a beautiful piece of engineering.I got this to use as a travel grinder for pour over. It was great during my memorial day traveling. The grinds are pretty uniform which you would expect at this price point. Grind adjustment mechanism is great and easy to use. I love how easy it is to fully disassemble and clean then reassemble and set the 0 point again. Grinding is pretty easy even at espresso settings due to the body weight and leverage the long handle provided and the burr really cuts through beans. For pour over, it’s excellent and it’s surpasses my expectations for espresso as well. Love how easy the magnetic grounds catch is to remove/attached and it’s pretty sturdy if your hand hits it during grinding. I also appreciate the carrying case and included accessories.I have a couple nitpicks I should at least mention although they’re minute. I have very slight burr rubbing at near 0 settings (up to about .8ish on the adjustment ring). This isn’t a big deal because it’s only just slight and nothing will ever need to be lower than a 2.5 for my personal use. It can be a little messy with static clinging - adding a spritz of water to the beans before loading definitely helps. The included brush isn’t stiff enough IMO - I use car detailing brushes instead for my coffee grounds cleaning. I wish the blind shaker fit a standard 58mm portafilter better. I wish the “wood” on the handle matched body sleeve in color. And lastly I found myself needing a little more grip when grinding - the rubber bands do resolve this but I’d prefer a grippier sleeve or another solution. The fact that this thing gets in the ball park of my home grinder (in terms of cup quality) that is 10x more expensive is amazing. I must admit I wanted a C40 but they’re always out of stock. I actually think this suites me better and the burr geometry is similar. It definitely looks better and has a better adjustment mechanism in my opinion. anyway. definitely recommend!Let me fist say I have drank a lot of Coffee in my life. I began to my deep dive into coffee brewing 4 year ago. I have a Aeropress, Frenchpress, and pour over set up. I started with a Porlex knock off grinder because it was cheap.I don’t know how I lived without the K-Plus, it literally gave me back a half hour of time I used to spend grinding my coffee. It is very well made, easy to use, and if you don’t mind a little weight it ok for traveling.Although it doesn’t fit in my Aeropress, I will still use it as a travel grinder. If you are on the fence about spending 200+ on a coffee grinder. I can tell you this grinder is worth every penny.I have been using this grinder multiple times a day for just over twelve months, and it has performed flawlessly. To be clear, I mostly do a coarse grind for french press. With its long handle and large diameter burrs, this grinder powers through even the lightest bean roasts quickly and with so little effort even my young daughter enjoys grinding up a brew for me.Adjustment is super easy with the external collar dial, and with much less fuss than other grinders I've used. The magnetically-attached grind tin can pop off if you hold the grinder too low, but this has only happened to me once or twice in the 1,000 or so times I have used it.Cleaning is easy with the included brush and blower. I have not needed to disassemble the grinder to do a deep clean. A quick brush with every use, and a blow-out every 10 or so grinds, has kept it looking and working great. The carry-case is fantastic, keeping everything clean and together. My only complaint is that the velcro strap inside is worn out.I did my research before purchasing this grinder and, having used it for a year, I'm convinced it is one of the best grinders you can buy.
