I have many medium high end super steel knives. My other Katsu is the carbon fiber insert camp knife in D2, and it has performed on par or better than alot of my super steels. I saw a Katsu in ZDP-189 and had to get one as Spyderco has had the market on this steel on their knives. This Katsu is a true step up. The blade is flawless, and deploys well with no play and perfectly centered. The handle feels awesome with no hotspots, including the clip. The clip is the same material and is not too stiff. There's good jimping on 3 sides of the handle that are perfectly placed and are not too agressive. The blade came shave sharp and I won't even try to improve it like I usually do. This might be the best knife I have purchased on Amazon. This knife is $365 on Katsus website, and I think that price is probably accurate considering the cost of the blade materiel and the quality of the fit and finish. I received the knife in 2 days. Very nice snap real leather belt carry case. The knife came with a certified heat treatment certificate. Wow! I highly recommend this knife for quality material overall, fit and finish matching knives way more expensive, and a price point that highly undervalues this knife. I am purchasing more before they go up. Awesome knife!
