Description

Burr grinders vs. Blade grinders Unlike blade grinders, which randomly blitz coffee beans into smaller and smaller pieces, burr grinders cut coffee beans between a set of two grooved burrs, the same way flour is milled. The space between the two burrs determines the final size of the coffee grounds, so the grounds end up being a much more consistent size than anything buzzed in a blade grinder. In fact, even though burr grinders come with a range of precise settings for fineness of grind (just like on a machine at a café or supermarket), blade grinders have literally no way to set the grind size. You usually end up with a lot of fine powder, some bigger chunks, and some grounds that are the desired size Good burr grinders cost significantly more than a standard blade grinder, but for those who enjoy coffee, the flavor difference makes the upgrade worth it binROC is an OEM factory dedicated to coffee peripheral products with over 20 year experience, good craftsmanship and technology, committed to provide customers with cost-effective quality products and excellent service. binROC has always insisted on the priority of customers, made innovation-driven as the key purpose of the organization. This is my first burr grinder and am happy with how easy it is to use. My coffee is now a very consistent brew and taste compared to my old blade grinder. Not too big on the counter and a good, moderate price. Just wish I had gotten it sooner.High quality buttons with a luxury feel. Quick, quiet, and grinds with no static as advertised.I have been using this grinder for almost 2 months. It is (so far) totally dust free. I set the amount that I wanted ground one time and from that point forward, keep it full and get my ground coffee every morning. This is a great purchase! This was a game changer for our small kitchen. Our previous burr grinder was bulky and needed to be put away after every use. This is slim and sits perfectly next to our Gaggia Classic machine, grinding exactly what we need, when we need it. We have had a couple incidents where the positioning got twisted and the safety feature prevents you from grinding- took us a few seconds to figure out what was wrong, but now we are operating streamlined! Perfect product for us. Fine grind for my husband’s daily espressso and coarse grind for my French press or Aeropress or pour over. Perfect every time. Highly recommend for adding daily grind to your coffee routine, instead of grind and store.Never had used a burr grinder before so couldn't compare with other similar products...No need to. This one is wonderful. Perfect fit wherever The automatic feature for dialing in the type of coffee you are brewing, (french press; drip, pour over, espresso etc), and then the number of cups of coffee you are grinding for are wonderful features. I would definitely recommend this whole bean coffee grinder. Love Starbucks Verona whole bean in a french press. Why would you make a decently quiet grinder with ridiculously loud beeps? Why? It beeps when I wake it. It beeps when I start the grind. And good grief, it beeps twice when done! Come on now! This grinder isn’t so silent I need giant beeps to keep me looped in on progress. Loud beeps are not a desirable feature!Only one day of use, but seems like a great grinder. Cup dial seems fairly accurate too. Not whisper quiet but not crazy loud either. Small form factor so bean hopper only holds about 100g grams of beans. Grind bin only holds as much as the 12 cup timer runs so maxed out it will only run a full 12 cup coffee batch at once without dumping grounds and refilling beans. Negative reviews complained about the bean hopper not having instructions but they are right there in obvious red letters to ensure it locks into place when rotating. Build quality is a little weak but it's consumer grade though I feel it should still last a while with regular use and care. Would happily buy another if I had to.The anti-static feature is spectacular! I have had regular grinders and always hated the mess, then I started to see the anti-static grinders, so I had to get one. This unit is very nice. It's quiet, and does a real nice job. Depending on the grind that you set, it will grind very quickly, or you will need to do multiple batches, depending on the amount of coffee you want. If you choose a coarse grind, it will grind very quickly. If you choose a very fine grind, you may need to do two or three rounds of grinding to get the coffee you need. None of these grinders are really super easy to clean, but this unit cleans up about as easily as I imagine possible. One thing that is wonderful is that the coffee bean hopper actually has a couple of little "doors" that swing into place at the bottom of the hopper so you don't have to empty it out before you remove the hopper. Just twist the hopper to unlock it, and these little doors swing into place and keep the beans from falling out the bottom when you remove it. Brilliant! Then there's just a few beans left down in the grind chamber that you need to empty out before you can clean it up further. This grinder is replacing a different anti-static conical burr grinder that I had trouble with. Oilier beans would clog it up and it would not produce the grounds it should have. I have been using the exact same beans on this grinder and have not had any problems at all. The only slight concern is, as I mentioned earlier, a very fine grind setting will require potentially, more grinding to accumulate the quantity of grounds that you want. That seems to be the case with any grinder of this type, so I wouldn't really call it a problem unique to this grinder. Definitely a five-star product.
