Titan Stormproof Match Kit & Box of Stormproof Matches – 2-Piece Survival Bundle for Camping, Hiking & Emergency Preparedness

I purchased this bundle of Titan Stormproof matches to put in my kit. I didn't plan on using them unless I needed to but figured I should make sure they work. When you see them for the first time they are quite impressive. It almost seems like a shame to waste one. The container is worth paying the extra money to get. It is water tight, nicely designed with everything you need (cotton, extra striker strips).In my test I closed up container and ran water over it for about a minute. I then checked the seal. There were about 3 small drops of water on the lowest thread of container. No water got to matches or inside of container. I then submerged the container in water and checked to see how it floats. It always floats with the striker side up and out of water. I then ran both a match and the striker strip under water for about 30 seconds and immediately went outside to test. The match lite on first strike and burned aggressively for about 20 seconds. I could of made it longer if I had tried to catch the wood of the match on fire but I just let it burn the head part of match.When I began shopping for wind/waterproof matches I had a hard time deciding which to get. I decided on these because it was the best deal and I could get everything I needed in one purchase.Upon receiving them I was surprised how big they actually were. Compared to an older pack of coughlans these are like three times the size. They burn great just like advertised and I really like the look and feel of the container as well as its usefulness. Shipping was fast and packaged good. If your shopping for emergency matches you can't go wrong buying these.
