This grinder seems excellent at this price point. Some quick positive impressions:- good weight, narrow profile, little space required- attractive on the counter with the true stainless and smoky plastic- sensible and easy to use controls- relatively quiet- minimal static cling… clean operation- small hopper and bin – I count this as a positive because I only grind for four cups at a time.- fairly airtight, with tight lid on top and a silicone sleeve between grinder and hopper.- easily cleanedSome quick negative impressions (no deal-killers here):- wish finest espresso grind was a bit finer (note: I bought my brother this same grinder and his finest setting was finer than mine and perfect for espresso)- not totally static-free (but plenty good enough)- number of cups indicated on dial is about twice the actual amount if you like strong coffee (meaning half the number of cups stated)- silly, ugly rubber cap for hopperOperating this grinder is easy… dial in the grind you’d like, push the button to wake it up, dial in the number of cups (again, divide the number of cups stated by two for strong coffee). Push the button. That’s it – the grinder goes back to sleep after a short while. The fine grind seems very nice, with almost no dust produced, but I wish there was an even finer setting. The hopper empties pretty easily with few grounds clinging. Leftover ground coffee remains pretty fresh in the bin due to silicone sleeve making a decent air barrier. This grinder seems ideal for daily grinds up to maybe four cups at a time. The capacity is relatively small, but that’s a plus for me, since I prefer to only grind four pour-over cups a day for my wife and I. The machine is handsome and petite, taking up very minimal counter space. I wish they didn’t bother with the rubber bin cap – it’s a bit of a kludge, and the silicone sleeve (excellent idea) keeps the ground coffee fresh enough. All in all, I’m very satisfied, and this grinder seems like a relative bargain at the price. I purchased the extended warranty just in case, as the electronics are a potential question mark for durability. In sum, this is a handsome, petite, and very good grinder at a good price. I’m happy I chose this one over the multitude of offerings on Amazon.EDIT 8/23/22:Love it even more after 7 months.EDIT 12/2/22:I bought one for my brother, who loves his Aeropress and always goes for an ultra-fine grind with his store-bought coffee. I noticed his finest setting produces an ultra-fine grind, so I'm wondering if my burrs might not be set right... I'll investigate when I clean them soon.Oh, and he absolutely loves it. My brother's a minimalist, and doesn't buy many gadgets. But he immediately adopted this grinder, and I haven't seen him smile so much over a gift in a longgg time (he's also kind of a gentle curmudgeon as well).EDIT 2/3/23:It's been a year, and a year of great coffee. I'm using it at the finest grind with these re-usable stainless cups (look for my bigh review) :https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZG5VPMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The grinder has been excellent... I've cleaned it once recently and was a bit shocked at how little I had to do. I broke a tiny plastic tab because I'm an idiot and don't read directions, but there's another tab and a complete separate and robust tightening mechanism so all is good (tbh I don't really know why the tiny plastic tabs exist except possibly as a positioning aid? Definitely not needed IMO).All in all, would buy this again and for all my family and friends.EDIT 5/29/23:Bought one for my sister, and she's thrilled with it! Hers does an extremely fine espresso grind, like my brother's, so I must have gotten one that needs adjusting. It's perfect as is at the finest settings for my needs (grinding for our stainless steel K-cups), so I probably won't bother. But I thought it would be useful for you all to know that a very, very fine grind is the norm... perfect for Aeropress and similar techniques as well!EDIT 6/28/24:Still going strong... no mechanical or electrical issues at all. I've taken it apart to clean, and couldn't get the gears any closer, so I guess I can't do an espresso grind (we really don't drink espresso anyway, so no loss to us). One rather peculiar issue that just suddenly cropped up was that the plastic bin started to have pretty strong static after grinding – very strange that it just kinda happened (after I emptied some stale grounds) and seems to be the norm now. There's a lot of YouTube videos that address getting rid of static in a grinder, so it must be pretty common. Most of the videos involve some method of moistening the beans, which didn't really appeal to me for a number of reasons (the hassle, introducing moisture to the grinding burrs, etc). So I wondered if I could just "de-charge" the static somehow. I took some stainless-steel measuring spoons we had in a drawer (there's five or six on a stainless steel ring) and singled out a spoon while holding the others taught and against our stainless sink. I stirred the coffee inside the plastic bin just a little, and viola – no static at all! Super fast, easy (if you have a stainless sink and spoons), no moisture needed and 100% effective. So if you happen to find static in the bin at some point, give it a try – it works amazingly well!
